Scallop Shell Lacing Eyelets

$12.00 per two dozen

These scallop shell lacing eyelets are based on a fifteenth-century bronze cloak hook – a row of five circles from which protrude five hooks, adorned with a row of scallop shells.  The original was found in Nieuwlande. We have adapted the design to an eyelet bar, for use with the late-fifteenth century German dresses and coats like those depicted in the Wolfegg Hausbuch. These single eyelets match that bar, and they could be used together on garments that had both sorts of lacing.  Or you can use them freely anywhere it suits your fancy!

We currently offer five lacing eyelets: this, the glittering Filigree Lacing Eyelet and the elegant Pointy Lacing Eyelet, the adorable Bee Lacing Eyelet, and the resplendent Comet Lacing Eyelet.

These eyelets are sold in packs of 2 dozen (24).
