Strawberry Plant Brooch

$7.00

This strawberry plant brooch is a copy of a 15th-century brooch found in London. It may be purely decorative, but it is more likely to have been distributed as a badge of affinity and to show a heraldic charge or a personal device, perhaps linked to the Stafford family  (during the Wars of the Roses, the Lancastrian Dukes of Buckingham).
