Ship of Tools Brooch

There are numerous small brooches in the shape of ships – some naughty like this one, and many clean, where the seamen only look like penises to the dirty-minded. It is on our list to make a clean one – some day when we can get our thoughts out of the gutter.

The original of this brooch was found in Nieuwlande and is dated 1375-1425.
