Description
bag pouch
$20.00
This purse frame was copied from two extant English examples of the late 15th century. By the greatest fortune, the partial frame found in Norfolk is complete except for the swiveling loop – and the piece found at Brooke’s Wharf, London, has the upper bar with the loop. We also have a piece of one of these frames in our collection – see the gallery images.
The purse frame comes with a full-size pattern (developed by Tracy Justus/Mistress Clare de Crecy) and instructions.
Saving paper: We send one pattern with one frame and two patterns with two or more frames. If you need more than two – or if you do not need any pattern at all – please let us know in the comment box at checkout.
Want to preview the project? Need another copy of the pattern? See Patterns for the Purses. You can also check out either Morgan Donner’s excellent video, Making a 15th Century Frame Purse or our construction tutorial.
