Daisy Veil Pin

The daisy veil pin. Copied after a real one in our collection – and shown here on its mold, next to the real one. late medieval. An interesting thing about the original is that it was made in a mold that cast multiple examples at once.

As you see, the pin itself is longer on the new one. When we started making veil pins we went through the Museum of London’s Dress Accessories section on pins and noted the lengths of all the pins. Then we settled on a standard length that was well within the range of the historical objects. So all our stock pins are cast on two-inch wires.
