Belt Fittings
There are many excellent reasons to buy or make a new belt – to up your game with more authentic dress accessories, because your new clothing deserves a matching belt, because you have been made a peer in the SCA – or taken an apprentice, protege, student, squire, cadet, or another dependent. Or just to hold your purse up! This is the place to find the belt fittings you need to really shine!
In general, you should plan to use buckle and chape combinations as they are shown here. Very few other combinations work – the pieces take different strap sizes, or the chape will not fit through the buckle, etc. Remember to look at the width of strap your buckle/chape combination uses – and check your other belt fittings to make sure they are not too wide; the information is given for every stud and eyelet. Before you send us your order, you are welcome to use this form to tell us what pieces you would like to combine for a belt. We will check and let you know right away if they are fine or if you need to make a different choice for one of your pieces.
We sell the parts for DIY (instructions and rivets included). We would be glad to make your belt for you – here’s what we need to know to do that.
